CGM-to-NM/1 is a graphics translation program that reads computergraphics metafile input data and converts it to NMT Corporation's NM/1format. As a part of the translation process, indexing information canbe automatically extracted from the input data by matching text stringsin the data with a template describing the location of the indexingfields. The program can also segment large roll drawings into multipleframes.The NM/1 vector graphics language is a highly compact 2D graphicslanguage. NM/1 files produced are typically 75-90% the size of the CGMinput file.
